[:en]3 days![:]

[:en]So, let’s start where we left off. We got the amplifier for our performances. We were stuck in Cologne for a week with only a possibility to make soap bubbles. Don’t get me wrong, we like them, but not when we are forced to work this way. Moreover, we had a lot of stress due to Mr D. and Mr B. (all names in the blog are coincidental and do not apply to the real people or figures :P ) as Mr D. agreed to make a bank tranfer and receive the parcel but… he left to Spain suddenly and Mr B. was not about to be home what appeared to be not so true, but all in all there was nobody to collect the parcel we anticipated so much. Nah. It’s complicated. Still, after all the hassle and stress we were almost euphoric after receiving this little box of happiness.

But, of course, Miss Fortune hasn’t forgotten about us, oh no. We received the amp on Friday, which was two days too late. Then when we wanted to take it for a test drive evening… We managed to make only one show. Why? ‘Cause the moment after we finished it started to rain. And it started to rain cats and dogs in no time. For the whole night. This, of course, meant setting up a tent in downpour, I hate it.

Anyway, we were so sick of Koeln and surroundings that we decided to leave immediately and the next day, Saturday, we packed and left to Erfurt where, according to the weather forecast was better.

We couldn’t be more wrong.

We arrived in Erfurt and what hit us was the wind. It was blowing so hard it sometimes was difficult to stand still. Of course we couldn’t perform, there were no people in the city centre, which was hardly surprising, so we decided to stay in a hotel and try the next day.

The hotel was… Well. It was weird. From the outside it looked like a post-comunistic block, inside it looked eerie and like it was still renovated (the smell reminded Niki of orphanage) and the guy who was apparently in charge of the place was giving us the creeps. At least to the moment he learned we were Polish, then he was absolutely friendly, happy Lithuanian. :P Fortunately, the rooms were clean, mattraces comfortable, we could use the kitchen and all in all it was pretty cosy there as long as we stayed in the room. :)

The next day we moved out and went to make some bubbles and later to see the wild camping place suitable to stay one more night. Also, we decided to visit our friend, Tony, in Zurich the next day.

After locating the wild camping spot for the night, on the way back to the city centre we left the asphalt road to explore one more random location. The place was next to the ground which was being plown so we stopped and asked if we could stay somewhere there for a night. The farmer, grumpy but nice guy agreed and even told us how to get to this place with a car so we could have it next to our tent. :)

After setting up a tent we agreed we could leave it there unattended and we went to the city centre again to make Fire Shows. After we arrived again in the city centre it turned out that at one location we usually performed there were other artists and the second one was empty. We decided to walk around and search for some more places and after several minutes we discovered one terrace which was quite full and the Show would be possible.

After asking the manager/owner and getting enthusiastic approval we started to get ready and just when we were about to start… An open air opera concert started on the other side of the street. We made a show anyway but it wasn’t good at all.

We left Erfurt yesterday with a bit grim moods and now we’re in Zurich, Switzerland, thinking how our adventures will unwind here…

[:en]Perceiving the pathway to truth,
Was struck with astonishment.
It was thickly grown with weeds.
“Ha,” he said,
“I see that none has passed here
In a long time.”
Later he saw that each weed
Was a singular knife.
“Well,” he mumbled at last,
“Doubtless there are other roads.”  – Stephen Crane

Hello everyone!

Running this blog-thing will be quite a challenge for us, poor old school folks, who still remember good times of indestructible Nokias and diaries written by hand. This peculiar space in the Internet has been created mainly for our family members and friends, who would like to be up to date with our spontaneous lifestyle, but also for us – so we could sit down one day, together or separately, with a cup of hot chocolate in our hands and go back to these crazy struggles, adventures and numerous obstacles that we encountered. Especially to the ones which made us who we are and left this pinch of insanity in our eyes ^^

As for now, we are in Cologne. Due to an unknown incident our amplifier broke down, making fire shows an impossible endeavor. Since Monday we have been working with bubbles and have slept in a tent every single night. We ordered a new amplifier, it should be here tomorrow, we’re waiting for it impatiently… Until it comes we are stuck here, eaten by ticks and dreaming of a new place (preferably with a bed).

On a bright side, we discovered a cool cinema with a very cheap popcorn, where we watched the new Jurassic Park movie; a vegetarian/vegan restaurant called Trash Chick; a nice camping spot by the river; and a shop with awesome cute socks in Aachen.

I guess that’s all for now. Tschüss!
